Any tips or hints...

...on how to make a 22 month old sleep in a toddler bed with out wandering about all night? I'm in desperate need to move Gavin's crib into Kami and Luke's room for them to begin sleeping separately, because they are now beating each other up in the bed! But, Gavin freaks out when I put him in his toddler bed! I need help!

Good luck!!!
Our kids were climbing out of cribs at 22 months so we just kept putting them back in until they fell out enough times we decided the ER bill wasn't worth it and bought toddler beds. They'd already been out of bed for months (just last month did toddler beds at 29 months) so they actually sleep really well in them now.

Give him a big boy pillow, his stuffed animals. Hell, there are days when I let them take a drink plus graham crackers plus a sucker to bed if they're crabby. I just brush extra good next morning lol

Just found your blog at the "AR is fake" blog. Your kids are adorable.

When we first transitioned my son to a toddler bed, we had problems with him leaving his room. We put one of those plastic safety knob covers on the inside of his door. It bothered me that he was "locked" in his room, but it was better than worrying about him falling down the stairs in the middle of the night. After a few months he was fine and we removed the safety cover.

No tips what-so-ever. I just bought a second crib tent because both of mine are climbing out and then running through the house at night giggling like crazy people. LOL

I hope you are able to find something to work.

ps I loove the new look of your blog and those pics in the header are fantastic!
sorry I haven't been around much. I have been barely "hanging on" some days :(

Connor was about 22 months when we moved him into a toddler bed and luckily he took to it very easily so i dont have any tips for keeping him in the bed (other than just keep putting him back) but what we did for safety was we but a gate on his door (his room was already completely safe) so that if he did get up he was limited to the safe space of his room and couldnt wander the house or get into anything. good luck!
