Visiting with Family

My cousin, Shonda, and her family came in from Tennessee for Thanksgiving. The kids and I stopped in Vidalia (where her parents live) on our way to Jena so her daughter could play with Gavin (they are the same age.) Well, Baylee had other plans, she was sleeping! So Gavin played with Shonda and Aunt Cindi! He L-O-V-E-D Shonda. Gave her all kinds of kisses! Jaclyn, another cousin, and her family came over as well. I'm not sure why I didn't get any pictures of her girls, she has 2 girls with another one on the way!
Aunt Cindi is telling him not to give Shonda her kisses in this picture...So naturally, he gave her lots!
Lovin' on Shonda some more!
Kami knows what to do when the camera comes out!

Little Helper

Please ignore the insanely tall grass in my front yard. Our lawn mower was out of commission for about a month and a half before Chad had a chance to fix it, so our grass was extremely tall. Gavin likes to 'help' do everything. He likes to help MiMi wash dishes, help me fold clothes, help his daddy cook supper. On this particular day, he was 'helping' his daddy mow the yard. I managed to get a few pictures.

Please excuse the blurriness of this picture. Chad was walking to fast for Gavin so he was running to catch up!
And yes, we mow into December in Louisiana!

Lots of Posts coming!

We had a BUSY weekend. I have pictures from the whole thing. I will be posting them soon. I have to upload them first! Today I have to take Gavin to the gastrologist and hopefully when I get home, I'll have time to work on uploading pictures and posting to the blog!

Happy Thanksgiving and The Count Down to Christmas

Thanksgiving is great! Great food, friends, and family. But the best part is, it's officially time to start the Christmas Count Down! Christmas is my favorite time of year! I love when my kids wake up on Christmas morning and get all of their stuff! And this year will be great because Gavin actually (kind of/sort of) understands what is going on. Today, I asked him if he wanted to get Logan a Handy Manny Fix-it Motorcycle for Christmas. I figured his response would be "No, mine!" Since he's 2 and that is pretty much his response for EVERYTHING. But, when we didn't get it today (it's going to be half off tomorrow) he got mad and told me that was "Owen's" toy. Owen, is Gavinese for Logan! So, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and enjoy my brandnew Christmas look!

Chuck E. Cheese! Gattiland!

After having to take Kami and Luke for their second doses of the flu shot yesterday, we had some errands to run. We are leaving for Jena tomorrow, so I needed to pick up diapers and wipes for the trip. While we were in Wal-Mart, Aunt Sheila called and asked did we want to go to Mr. Gatti's. Mr. Gatti's is similar to Chuck E. Cheese only the pizza is BETTER! They have a buffet similar to CiCi's pizza, and they have spahgetti for Luke, since he doesn't like pizza (I know right.) Well, it didn't matter, since the kids didn't really eat anything. Gavin ate half a piece of pizza, and that's his favorite! Kami and Luke ate, wait for it, saltine crackers. And they each had a few bites of cheese bread sticks. Please forgive the picture quality, as these pictures were taken on my cell phone.
We had an unexpected 6th party when PawPaw Stanley showed up! Gavin promptly moved his plate to sit with his Great Grandpa!
But honestly, he was more interested in the TOYS! Every chance he got to escape, he ran to the Gattiland!
He likes to drive!
Afterwards, we came home and 3 little babies took a long nap, so mommy could clean!

What's the difference between Boys and Girls?

Besides the obvious of course! So far I've been simultaneously raising 2 boys and a girl for 14 months. I haven't noticed too many significant differences just yet. Kami seems to talk more and better at a younger age than Gavin and Luke, but other than that, I've only noticed one really big difference. Eating habits. Gavin and Luke eat ALOT and they take huge bites and make a HUGE mess. Kami eats ALOT, takes small bites and manages to keep her food on her tray (on most days anyway!) I remember when Gavin was there age, when he'd finish eating, he would put his bowl/plate/whatever on his head like a hat. Luke just throws his in the floor. But can someone please explain how my one year old daughter manages to make less of a mess than her more experienced two year old brother? Last night we had 'breakfast for supper.' Scrambled eggs and biscuits. Gavin wanted oatmeal. He also wanted eggs, even though he doesn't eat them. So, I fixed him a bowl of oatmeal and a plate of some scrambled eggs and a biscuit. He dumped half of his oatmeal onto his eggs and biscuits. And then got mad because I took a picture of it.
If you make the picture bigger you can tell there is oatmeal on his plate and the table, there was also some on his feet.
Luke has eggs all over the place, in his chair, on the floor...
And Kami's little tray is nice and neat. No food on the floor beneath her (except what Luke catapulted over there).

Happy Birthday Marissa!

Saturday we ventured out in the rain and cold for Marissa's 3rd Birthday party. Marissa is Gavin, Kami and Luke's cousin. Her mom and Chad are 1st cousins. Marissa is the ultimate girly girl. She likes baby dolls, shoes, purses, dress up and PINK. We got her a grocery cart with groceries that will go well with all of her cooking equipment she got! She's such a sweet girl and she LOVES Kami and Luke, she even named her baby dolls Kami and Luke! They had lots of fun. Kami wanted desperately to play with these little pilgrim people, and I wouldn't let her, only to find out later they are there for Marissa to play with. They had a blast playing with the magnets on the refridgerator. They are certainly easily amused.

And more!
This is how I find Gavin often. He has begun to hide for the camera, or close his eyes.
Luke with the magnets again. Notice the cut on his eye. He fell down.
