Conjunctivitis

Gavin woke up from his nap yesterday with a little bit of green mucus in his eye. I wiped it out and he went on with his day playing. I noticed more green mucus and wiped out again. This went on and on and on until there was so much in his eye, and his eye was starting to swell shut. So, after Kami and Luke went to sleep, Gavin and I went to the Lake After Hours. We waited 3 hours. While we were waiting, he developed 4 huge hives on his face. We were finally seen, by a rude doctor who acted as if he didn't want to get near Gavin. I asked him about the hives, to which he brushed off as "insect bites." They were NOT insect bites, unless, there were insects in the waiting room of the clinic. So, he wrote him a prescription for orapred (for the hives) and antibiotic eye drops for the "pink eye." I decided not to give him the orapred with out first speaking to his hemotologist and thankfully the hives went away on their own. I started the eye drops last night (after waiting 45 minutes in Walgreens to get it filled.) There is no more green mucus, but his eye is still red and swollen. He woke up at 2 a.m. and his eye was matted shut and he cried and cried and cried. Thankfully, he can open it this morning.
In this picture you can kind of see the swelling.

This picture had MAJOR red eye. I could get the red eye reduction to take it away on his left eye, but it wouldn't work on his right eye.
