Kami and Luke-9 months well check

Today was Kami and Luke's 9 month well baby check up. (No shots, hooray!) Everything went pretty well. Here are their updates:Kami weighs17 lbs 10 oz (25th percentile), she is 28 inches long (50th percentile), and her head is 18 inches around (90th percentile). She is doing everything pretty well, although she isn't pulling herself up to standing position yet. She sits ok unassisted and she should be doing this with no problem. She crawls, claps and imitates sounds, so she is doing good for her age. The doctor still isn't worried about her foot (the one that was turned completely sideways at birth) although I am. She keeps saying it will fix itself when she starts walking. She was very well behaved for the doctor. She is an inquisitive little girl, always wants to know and see what is going on around her.
Luke weighs 20lbs 13oz (50th percentile), so still about 3 pounds bigger than his older sister. He is 28 and a half inches long (50th percentile) and his head is 19 1/4 inches around (off the charts, me and my big headed babies LOL). He doesn't sit up as well as his sister, and he doesn't pull up to standing position either. The doctor says his muscle tone in his trunk is a little weak. He crawls, babbles (alot), and waves bye bye. He is actually a super scooter when he wants to get something! He gets this green stuff in his eyes alot, so we are just going to watch it for the next three months, and if it doesn't get better, then we will take him to an opthalmologist. The doctor just seems to think he may have a clogged tear duct. He behaved for the doctor as well, although he really likes to play alot, so he wouldn't sit still for her.

Both babies will be getting physical therapy due to their lack of sitting well, and standing. Early Steps will be coming to evaluate them to see if they are eligible, and if so, they will send one of their physical therapist/occupational therapists out to work with them. I will keep you updated as I find out more details about that. In the meantime, have a great day!

Makayla's foot turned in for a long time and I was so concerened and the Dr. said it will straighten out when she starts walking and it is. So don't get to worried just yet she has some time.

My middle one had a clogged tear duct and it resolved just before he was a year old. We just massaged it in the bath tub every evening for as long as he'd allow it.
Your babies are sweet!
