Ugh...Pink Eye is the Least of Our Worries...

To say today(well yesterday now) has been a bad day would be an understatement. First Gavin wakes up and his pink eye has spread to his other eye, so now he has it in both eyes. Then Kami and Luke wake up with the worst snotty noses EVER. Seriously, Luke sneezed and snot flew across the room! It was so gross. At around lunch, we all loaded up and I took Gavin for bloodwork. I waited an hour, called to get the results. They weren't back yet. I waited 45 minutes (10 minutes before the office stops taking calls) and they still weren't back. Kim, the nurse, called the lab to see what the problem was. She called me back to inform me his blood clotted so he would need to go back in. After supper, Gavin started throwing up. After throwing up the 3rd time, I cleaned him up and put him in the living room to lay on the couch and watch tv. I went to check on Kami and she was breathing really fast and it sounded funny. I put Gavin in the room with Chad and took Kami to the ER. After 4 hours, they tell me she has croup, give her a shot of Decadron (steroids) and send us on our way. I got home, put her in bed and Gavin is STILL THROWING UP. And, he has diarrhea too. We have an appointmen at 1:20 tomorrow for all 3 of them, but maybe we will take them in earlier if we can. Hopefully tomorrow is better than today! Or rather, today is better than yesterday!

Leah, I wish there was something I could do to help. I guess the best thing I can do is pray. I do pray for you and your family everyday, but today I ask a special prayer that Jesus would send His healing swiftly for your little ones. I pray for extra strength and endurance for you as you take care of them. The bible says that "Those who hope in the Lord will have renewed strength, they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint." Put your hope in the only One that has any real power to heal.

I love you
